With about 30 salons in Shorewood, it doesn't hurt to stand out with a name like Get Dolled Up. It lends itself to all kinds of fun phrases, like "Hey let's go to Get Dolled Up."
But Shorewood's newest salon is more than just a fun name. Located in the former Salon Divine space at 4312 Oakland Ave., Get Dolled Up also stands out with its elegantly simple black and white decor and a chic 1950s appeal.
Salon owner Geri Beth Stigen previously rented a stylist chair at Salon Divine for two years, and seeing potential in the space, decided to buy the business from Liv Mueller. After a couple weeks of renovations, the salon opened Tuesday with a completely different look: new paint, lighting, plumbing and furniture.
