You know, I can understand that, but we really aren't that sort of people, at least not the teachers I know here at SHS aren't. I have conservative students that are some of my favorite kids -- and I'd bet if you asked they'd tell you they like me too. If Cow Dung'd rather be in WFB that's really too bad, and I can understand his problem, I wish we'd bought in Shorewood when my kids were school aged. My beef with him is I believe that you should post under your own name, which I think is what everyone on line should do, I think it would cut back on the venting and the false accusations (reference "Donny" re: Margaret) -- just my humble opinion -- and I'm sorry that he's got a chip on his shoulder about Shorewood teachers. We're a very proud and hardworking bunch and we do good work at least here at SHS. I've worked in other schools, what we have here is unique and pretty darn good.
I thank you for letting me know the backstory here. I have always read, but tried to stay off the comment boards here at Patch. I do think, though, that there are two sides to the Act 10 fallout story and sometimes I don't think ours is heard. Then I break my own rule and post, like this time. Especially after Donny's character attacks on my colleague Margaret -- that was uncalled for. I'm sorry CD doesn't appreciate our defense of our collective bargaining rights -- but I suppose we'd have to agree to disagree, if such a thing were possible. Thanks, though for the head's up. Debra

Debra...

CowDung has two elementary aged children in Atwater. He is a Professional Engineer working somewhere in the west of the county or Waukesha. He has continually refused to identify himself because he is concerned about retribution to his children. He is in his early forties and now admits to buyer's remorse for buying a home in Shorewood instead of the more conservative WFB. He has been continuously critical of teacher's activist participation in attempting to protect their bargaining rights.
