ReplyRetire @ age 50 w/ how much $$$? It would be nice to know to get a better perspective.
Will she be able to live a less modest/extreme lifestyle or that is the course from now on?t Will moving from MI to CA require any downsizing housewise or thats all been factored in? Plus what kind of a cushion is there for all of the unexpecteds?
I don't know anything about Royal Oak, MI in terms of real estate, but Sausalito is quite expensive and only getting more expensive as the prices are once again on a fast trajectory upwards in the hot areas of California ie LA & San Francisco (right next to Sausalito.

On the article Is Anti-Semitism Underreported In the North Shore?

ReplySeriously...
I guess that desparate times call for desparate articles....
How about the under reporting of sexual assaults?
Now, I can almost guarantee there will be an under reporting of incest.
Maybe throw in some under reporting of domestic abuse..
Why not kick in some under reporting of prescription medication abuse.
Binge drinking likely happens every weekend, but it's most likely under reported.
How about over eating...that really doesn't need to be reported if one still can see, though then you can leap into the realm of binging & purging which are definitely under reported..
Ohhh...cheating on exams/homework...that's a scandal that breaks every few years on some level...guess that's uder reported...
And so forth and so on..
I would venture to guess that just about any type of situation could be classified as under reported that could be reported.

On the article Eating Organic in the Whitefish Bay Area

Bob-
I realized that I left in Shorewood for what should have been WFB after I posted, but for whatever reason I am not able to delete my comments anymore to amend any errors and repost. I figured I had enough WFB references that people would get it. I usually amend a comment numerous times because of info left out or spelling errors I realize after posting even though I've proof read it. I figured after I added my second comment, that was enough because I thought of something else to add, but left it alone.

ReplyWow!
I thought Denise Konkol should be fired for her recent stories...We should add a few more. Better yet, this might just be an indication of why advertising $$$ aren't pouring in because the stories are either re-hashed/re-posted from another major source, written with numerous errors ie grammar/spelling and/or just off base/not relevant to the title..
For example...
"Here's where to get the best organic foods in and around Whitefish Bay"
Neither of the establishments below are anywhere near Shorewood. THOUGH, you did leave out the biggest of all...Whole Foods..~5 miles from Silver Spring Dr.
Slow Pokes
•1229 12th Ave., GraftonAmaranth Bakery and Café
•3329 W. Lisbon Ave., MilwaukeeBTW,
Sendiks, Pick N Save & Walmart, all located in or w/in a couple of miles of WFB, sell organic produce as well as canned and offer much more than Beans N Barley. In fact, Beans hardly sells any fresh produce that is organic, if any at all. In addition, anything coming out of the hot case/off the menu is not going to be organic except maybe a juice or possibly a coffee.

On the article Storm Water Utility Could Cost Homeowners $400 Per Year
Absolutelyfabulous

ReplyIs Mandel going to be paying for any storm utility fees for his new apartment buildings or has that somehow been circumvented?
Here are Patch articles showing numerous renderings of the buildings/site/Consaul Commons for Mandel's luxury apartment development.
http://whitefishbay.patch.com/articles/mandel-apartments-receive-final-approval
Who picks up the tab for the strip on Consaul Commons that is included in Mandel's proposal and leads from Silver Spring to the apartment buildings? Mandel, the adjacent property owners/business operators/Village taxpayers? Consaul may be public space, but Mandel is directing how this will be developed and it is beneficial to his development, adjacent business/es will be utilizing it for outdoor seating...
The bill for these areas will not cheap and it would be interesting to see who's picking up the tab.

_____________________________Imagining a Post-Cupcake Economy
"It’s an industry in the worst of both worlds: both losing its cool, and intensely competitive, with cupcake-making becoming the cottage industry of choice for thousands of small businesses and single-person outfits as the craze went into high gear.
But if cupcakes are losing their touch, what comes next? As the frozen yogurt mania showed, even after interest in a trendy new food peaks, it can remain a presence in food courts and Main Streets long after. So don’t write cupcakes off just yet. But the smart money will be piling into the new thing, whatever that may be."

Your comment is a joke, right?
You must not know the right women. BTW, how many women who are married are just as miserable and in a terrible state due to how many factors..Absolutely no logic to your comment.
You are in the wrong era.
