Winter storm "Saturn" is expected to dump 3-6 inches of snow in Shorewood. Stay tuned for details on issues related to the storm in the village.
When it's all said and done, winter storm "Saturn" will have dumped between 3-6 inches of snow on the village. According to our media partners at WISN12, it is expected to snow through Wednesday morning. Winds exceeding 30 MPH could make for hazardous driving conditions. However, Shorewood could experience lake-enhanced snow, bringing a higher potential for heavy totals along Lake Michigan. It's the third storm in as many weeks to barrel through the area during a winter that started off relatively warm and rainy. Roadways through Shorewood are wet, but fairly clear as of 11:30 a.m. Shorewood police say they have responded to two car accidents as of 11:30 a.m., including one near the intersection of East Capitol Drive and North Lake Drive…

Racine County does to a really good job of plowing. I live on a "county road" (according to the post office) and by the time the sun came up this morning it was plowed and salted. The only time I can remember being "snowed in" after over 20 years of living in Caledonia was two years ago after the Groundhog Day blizzard.   more ›
