Brad and Jenny earned 25 votes to take home the prize: a $40 gift card for a romantic dinner donated by The Pasta Shoppe in Port Washington. As Brad explained, that restaurant has special meaning for the couple: Jenny and I first met at the Pasta Shoppe, which is way too big of a coincidence for this contest! If you are willing to engage in a small public show of affection, you can get a discount deal Tuesday at Qdoba restaurants. The Qdoba at Bayshore Town Center is one of the Wisconsin stores offering the Valentine's Day discount: Kiss someone while ordering an entree, and you get a second entree at half-price. The recipient of the kiss could be a friend, relative, significant other or "understanding stranger," the website says. But if you lived in any other state where Qdoba does business, you would do even better for the same buss. Only Wisconsin Qdoba stores are offering just 50 percent off a second entree deal. Elsewhere in the nation, the corporate promotion is being called "BOGO (Buy one, get one) For A Kiss," and that second entree is …

It’s easy for elementary-age children and tweens to get confusing messages about love, sex and relationships — Sunday School offers one perspective and “Glee” the opposite. How do you help children straighten it all out? We sought advice from Patch’s Facebook army and professional experts, and browsed the web for more. The wisdom took all forms and here is the best of it. Kristin Hasbrook is a counselor at Hamilton High School in Sussex. She conducts a “Love and Logic” program that provides regular discussion on best-practice parenting techniques. “Every age and every child and every temperament and …
