Senior-friendly Businesses to Be Recognized by Local Group
Shorewood Connects has recently launched the Senior-Friendly Business Certification Program, aimed at recognizing the many good things businesses are already doing for their older adult customers and to make recommendations for improvement.
An effort is underway to recognize and encourage Shorewood shops to become more senior-friendly. Shorewood Connects has recently launched the Senior-Friendly Business Certification Program. Modeled after similar initiatives in Portland, Oregon and New York, NY, the purpose of the certification program is to recognize the many good things businesses are already doing for their older adult customers and to make recommendations for improvement in specific areas related to the physical environment, customer service, website read-ability, parking and other considerations.
