The cost of stamps is going up again later this month. Effective Jan. 27, stamps for first-class letters will go up a penny to 46 cents. Postcards also will see a one-cent increase, to 33 cents. In addition, the U.S. Postal Service is rolling out a new "Global Forever Stamp," which allows customers to mail letters internationally for one set price of $1.10. OK not that much, but it receives by far the most volume of mail. And to get to it, people drive on the wrong side of the road. They risk a ticket every time, but if you are driving on the correct side of the road you generally risk getting hit by someone swerving to get at it the wrong way. Each time I went out to check, someone was coming at me the wrong way up Bartlett Avenue. I have done it myself.
