UWM Reminds Students to Behave, Respect Neighborhood This Weekend

After Milwaukee police arrested 39 in the area during a crackdown, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is reminding students to respect the neighborhood when having a good time this weekend.

After Milwaukee police arrested 39 in the area during a crackdown, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is reminding students to respect the neighborhood when having a good time this weekend. The university sent an email Thursday morning, informing students police will "continue intensive enforcement of quality of life issues and underage drinking laws in the UWM neighborhood." The email obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel goes on to say, "We want to encourage you to always be respectful, responsible individuals regardless of where you are." Milwaukee and UWM police launched the operation last weekend, in response to area resident complaints of drunken and disorderly behavior from college students, police say.
