Man Arrested with Connection to Shorewood Church Burglary

Shorewood police are slated to meet with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office soon to discuss possible charges.

Milwaukee police have arrested a man, believed to be connected to a burglary at Luther Memorial Chapel, according to Shorewood police.  The man was arrested last week during an unrelated incident. Shorewood police are slated to meet with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office soon to discuss possible charges. On March 28, more than $1,200 in property was taken during a burglary at the Shorewood church located at 3833 N. Maryland Ave., including a laptop, Apple iPhone and Bible.

Armed Robbery Reported Near UWM Campus

Milwaukee police arrested a Milwaukee man and are looking for two others in connection with an armed robbery Tuesday night near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus.

Milwaukee police arrested a 27-year-old Milwaukee man and are looking for two others in connection with an armed robbery Tuesday night near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus.  According to Patch media partners WISN, police said three men were walking near N. Newhall St. and E. Newport Ave., just a few blocks south of Shorewood, around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when three suspects approached and demanded valuables and money. Police told WISN one of the suspects is believed to have been armed with a handgun. It is unclear whether the victims are students at the university.

Shorewood Man Pleads Guilty to Trying to Solicit Teen Online

James Donelan was charged in February after he engaged in a sexually explicit conversation with what he thought was a 15-year-old Shorewood boy—but was actually an undercover detective with the Milwaukee Police Department.

A 41-year-old Shorewood man faces up to 40 years in prison afterpleading guilty to one charge of use a computer to facilitate a child sex crime following a sting staged by local law enforcement.  James Donelan was charged in February after he engaged in an sexually explicit conversation with what he thought was a 15-year-old Shorewood boy—but was actually an undercover detective with the Milwaukee Police Department. It's A Rental, Man Tells Police When Caught Behind the Wheel of Stolen Cars

A 18-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of stealing at least four different cars from several North Shore neighborhoods, including Shorewood, Whitefish Bay and Fox Point.

A Milwaukee man is accused of stealing cars across the North Shore, then giving police officers the same story each time he's caught behind the wheel. Dominick Parrish Cole, 18, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with four counts of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. If convicted, he faces up to nine years in prison and $40,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 23, a Shorewood woman living in the 3500 block of North Lake Drive contacted police officers after she discovered someone had taken her 2008 Infiniti G-35 while it was parked in her driveway. UWM Reminds Students to Behave, Respect Neighborhood This Weekend

After Milwaukee police arrested 39 in the area during a crackdown, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is reminding students to respect the neighborhood when having a good time this weekend.

After Milwaukee police arrested 39 in the area during a crackdown, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is reminding students to respect the neighborhood when having a good time this weekend. The university sent an email Thursday morning, informing students police will "continue intensive enforcement of quality of life issues and underage drinking laws in the UWM neighborhood." The email obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel goes on to say, "We want to encourage you to always be respectful, responsible individuals regardless of where you are." Milwaukee and UWM police launched the operation last weekend, in response to area resident complaints of drunken and disorderly behavior from college students, police say.
