Art Show 'Similitudes' Opens Jan. 10 in Anaba Tea Room
Artist James Steeno's floral and wildlife watercolors, paper collage and pen and ink drawings are designed to engage, display and call to mind the curious fancy of accessible objects and themes close by.
Anaba Tea Room will present its newest art exhibit, Similitudes, with an opening reception at 5 p.m. on Jan. 10 Artist James Steeno has created floral and wildlife watercolors, paper collage and pen and ink drawings which reflect a concrete understanding of his subjects, but are executed in his signature style; blending an illustrative line with more expressive paint application and whimsical backgrounds. The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 24, at the tea room located at 2107 E. Capitol Dr., in the basement of the Garden Room. Steeno's paper collages are made out of layers of up-cycled torn paper including old newspapers, junk-mail & discarded printer paper.
