Lake Bluff to Get Playground Improvements over Summer
The approximately $500,000 project includes two softball fields and a youth soccer field.
Playground renovations at Lake Bluff Elementary will start July 5 and wrap up in early fall. The Shorewood School Board last week approved the approximately $493,000 project and a contract with New Berlin-based contractor, Western Contractors, to revamp the school’s field. Western Contractors will install new fencing, construct two softball fields, one youth soccer field and do some minor electrical work for lighting. Superintendent Blane McCann said rainfall often leaves the fields usable and that the new construction will address the issue with a drainage system. McCann will probably start a new high school parking lot project 5 days before school starts like he has the last several years. Oh, maybe he could make the entrance to the arena a little bit more difficult to get into. more ›
