Composting reduces waste and the Village of Shorewood is hosting a compost seminar on Saturday.
A composting seminar led by Josh Knox will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Shorewood Village Center, 3920 N Murray Ave., in the lower library. Participants will learn various techniques for composting as well as why composting helps the environment, decreases the amount of trash sent to landfills and can help keep property taxes lower.
