Greyhound Swimmers Capture Sectional Crown

With all three relay teams through, goal is to improve on last year's fourth-place finish at state.

Shorewood swimming is headed for Madison. The small squad made a big splash at the Division 2 sectional Saturday at Cudahy, winning the meet with 392 team points. The Greyhounds will send, at minimum, all three relays teams and senior Kasmir Bohannon, who won two events Saturday. Winners from each of the six sectional sites, plus the next 12 fastest times in each event, qualify for the Division 2 state meet, which is Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Greyhounds “swam exceptionally well,” said coach Rob McCabe, winning all three of their relays and packing the podium with multiple swimmers in several events.
