8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill is expected to replace Coa Mexican restaurant at Bayshore Town Center.
A restaurant devoted to Wisconsin sports heroes Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun will replace COA Mexican restaurant at Bayshore Town Center. The restaurant, 8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill, first opened last year in Brookfield. Launched by Ryan Braun and Aaron Rodgers along with SURG Restaurant Group, the restaurant's name is based on the jersey numbers of the Green Bay Packers quarterback and Milwaukee Brewers left fielder. The restaurant will open in the space currently occupied by COA, which is expected to close by June 30, according to Milwaukee Magazine. Eddie Bauer will close its store at Bayshore Town Center by May 26, which means its customers will have to drive to the Mayfair Mall location. Bayshore Town Center manager David Moss said another retailer is already expected to fill its space, and he expects to announce that new store in the next couple weeks. The news of Eddie Bauer's closing comes on the heels of Express opening in the space formerly occupied by Coldwater Creek. Icing By Claire's, a jewelery and accessories store, also plans to open later this summer in a previously vacant space between Apple and Chico's, Moss said. Employees at the Caribou Coffee have begun telling customers about their upcoming closing. The last day is April 14.
The Caribou Coffee, 5800 N Bayshore Dr, Glendale, will close its doors later this month. The closure is a decision that came from the corporate level. Employees found out about the closure on Friday, and began telling customers Saturday and Sunday. The store is having a sale on merchandise and the store will close its doors on Sunday. The decision relates to a corporate acquisition of Caribou by Joh. A. Benckiser Group (JAB) in December 2012. The same company also acquired another large coffee company, Peet's Coffee and Tea Inc., which happened in October 2012. Patch will be contacting Caribou's corporate office for more information.

Brown Deer man reaches legal settlement after eating a contaminated mahi mahi dish at Cheesecake Factory restaurant at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale.
Almost immediately after finishing his dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, Ghassan Batayneh started to feel dizzy. After finishing his mahi mahi dish at the popular restaurant franchise at Bayshore Town Center, the Brown Deer man began to sweat profusely and then passed out, sliding off of his chair onto the floor. Paramedics were called to the restaurant, and he was rushed to the emergency room. "Within five minutes of finishing, I started feeling something was wrong," Batayneh told Patch. "I had a feeling it was what I ate. I knew there was something wrong, but I was confused about what really happened." A Cedarburg bakery is setting up shop for Valentine's Day in Bayshore Town Center. Delicately Delicious plans to open a temporary "pop-up shop" in the Glendale mall from Jan. 31 to Feb. 14, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The shop will offer "an extensive menu of cupcakes, from tried and true favorites to seasonal to love inspired," the business said on Facebook. Cupcakes range in price from $2.50 to $3 each. Coldwater Creek will close Jan. 6, and Express is expected to arrive sometime in spring.
Express will open its fourth Milwaukee location at Bayshore Town Center, in the space currently occupied by Coldwater Creek. Coldwater Creek, a women's clothing store, will close after its last day on Jan. 6, according to a sign at the store. The store is currently holding a sale, advertising up to 60 percent off on select merchandise. Coldwater Creek customers can continue to shop at the Mayfair Mall location. Mall officials told Patch that Express – which also has locations at Mayfair Mall, Southridge Mall and Brookfield Square Mall – will open sometime in the spring. Black Friday brings out shoppers on a cold and windy November day.
Customers began lining up at Bayshore Town Center early as 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving to take advantage of discounts on electronics items at the mall's Sears store. While Sears opened at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, the rest of the retail center wasn't open for business until 7 a.m. on Friday. Morning foot traffic was light, but steady as shoppers ventured out despite the cold and windy weather.

The farm stand will open in the mall's Town Square area June 14. The stand will be open all year long, moving inside to the J-Shore storefront in the colder months.
Beginning June 14, the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, Bayshore Town Center and Growing Power will be working together to bring a farm stand to Bayshore Town Center.
