Under an understanding between the mall, Glendale and the ACLU, those seeking to exercise free speech rights can do so on the sidewalks bordering the mall. However, the mall's no soliciting ordinance still applies to its interior sidewalks.
Petitioners and protesters can take to sidewalks bordering Bayshore Town Center again after an understanding was reached among the mall, City of Glendale and the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin on Tuesday. In separate incidents last fall, mall security told petitioners to leave the sidewalks surrounding the mall and another man protesting Trader Joe's was arrested and cited for trespassing by Glendale police. Capt. Mark Ferguson of the Glendale Police Department said the understanding is limited to the sidewalks bordering Bayshore, including North Port Washington Road, East Silver Spring Drive and North Lydell Avenue, and doesn't include the sidewalks lining the interior of the mall center. "There has always been some …

Bayshore hosted a trick-or-treat event, fully loaded with carriage rides, a creepy town center and more.
Hundreds of children and their families flocked to Bayshore Mall Friday for their fifth annual Great Pumpkin Event. Children under 12 years old were able to pick out a free pumpkin and many stores participated in the trick-or-treat activities. There was also free coffee and cider from Caribou Coffee as well as free horse-drawn carriage rides through the Town Center. Although there were many unique costumes, the most popular was Spider Man, Star Wars characters and princesses.

While officers were in route to a home in the 6400 block of North Berkeley Blvd. for a burglary call, around 12:35 a.m. July 19, they noticed a teenager riding a bicycle east on School Road and then turning north onto the 6400 block of North Santa Monica Blvd. According to the report: When officers arrived on scene, they found the garage door open and two vehicles parked inside. There was also a bicycle lying in the driveway about six feet from the garage door. When the met the homeowner…
