Obituary: Brian C. McLaughlin

Mclaughlin was a graduate of Notre Dame and Saint Louis Medical School and served a two year residency at the University of Chicago before beginning a private practice in Milwaukee.

Brian C. Mclaughlin M.D. passed away Friday at the age of 91. Mclaughlin was a graduate of Notre Dame and Saint Louis Medical School. He served a two year residency at the University of Chicago before beginning a private practice in Milwaukee. He had a true passion for wood-working and built many boats. He was greatly devoted to his ophthalmology practice and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Resident of Alexian Village of Milwaukee, former resident of Shorewood, Whitefish Bay and Thiensville. Beloved husband for 63 years of Monica McLaughlin (Nee McCormick). Aloysius "Al" Sadowski passed way Tuesday at the age of 83.  Sadowski was a resident of Shorewood and best friend and beloved husband for 55 years of Sylvia (nee Gornick) Sadowski. Loving father of Joseph, Carol (Jeff) Reisinger, Dave (Nichole), Steven, and James (Beth) Sadowski. Proud grandfather of Terese and Erica Reisinger and Evan and Jonathan Sadowski. Matthew M. Rupsis passed away Nov. 22 at the age of 33.  Rupsis was a graduate of Shorewood High School Class of “98”, UW- Madison and DePaul University Law School. He was currently employed by the State of Illinois as a prosecutor. “R.I.P. Matt Rupsis, my one and only brother. I can’t believe you are gone. I will always love and remember you. Obituary: Dressing with Style, Men's Fashion Was Brill's Lifework

Tom Brill, who passed away Nov. 1 at the age of 80, spent his life in the men's fashion industry, partially as owner of Harleys Shop for Men.

Tom Brill always had a taste for dressing with style. "He always looked like a million dollars," his wife of 60 years Jeanne Brill told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Designer clothing was his life, starting at a men's clothing store at the age of 14. The former co-owner of the long-standing designer men's clothing store in Shorewood, Harleys: The Store for Men, passed away Nov. 1 at the age of 80. He joined Harleys in the early 1950s, just a few years after opening in Shorewood. He left around 1968 for a short stint with the men’s designer boutique, the Bill Blass Shop for Men at TA Chapman Company, but returned a few years later and eventually bought the store in 1987 with his friend and long-time co-worker Tim Ryan, who owns the North …

Alicia Urban will be remembered for her volunteerism and energetic and magical personality that touched so many with kindness, generosity, warmth, love and fun. She passed away Sunday at the age of 43.  Urban was devoted to her family, her friends, her community, and her business Elements East. She volunteered actively with Friends of Atwater Beach, Pearls for Teen Girls, Public Allies and Holton Youth Center. Obituary: John Edward Dooley M.D.

Following service in the Navy, John attended Marquette Medical School where he specialized in internal medicine and then gastroenterology. He later opened his practice on Silver Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay.

Dr. John Dooley died peacefully on Sunday, one week after the funeral service of his beloved wife, Carol. He left this world surrounded by his children and their spouses. John was a resident of St. John’s on the Lake in Milwaukee for the last 10 years of his life; before that he lived in Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. He was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral. John was born on October 12, 1926, the youngest of five children born to Edward and Ruth Dooley. He attended Marquette High School before joining the Navy in 1944 where he served as a corpsman. Pacyga, a long-time Shorewood resident, received a great deal of satisfaction volunteering at the Milwaukee Public Museum and St. Robert Parish.

Grace M. Pacyga passed away Friday at the age of 75. Her name defined who she was. She was a gracious woman with a warm and beautiful heart. She was extraordinarily kind and generous, always reaching out to others. Pacyga, a resident of Shorewood, received a great deal of satisfaction volunteering at the Milwaukee Public Museum and St. Robert Parish. She always remained optimistic, even in the light of facing a terminal illness. She had a keen sense of humor as well as exhibiting a courageous inner strength. Most of all, she will be remembered as a wonderful wife and loving mother who adored her family, and they will live on with an everlasting adoration of her.
