Sounds of Latin America to Fill Hubbard Park Tonight

Shorewood's summer-long concert series continues tonight at 6 p.m. with bossa nova group Darele Bisquerra & Trio de Janeiro.

The sounds of the Latin America will fill Shorewood's Thursday night as the Summer Concert Series continues with Darele Bisquerra & Trio de Janeiro.

The group has roots in Shorewood, with Bisquerra living in the village for some years, and performed at last year's concert series and at Showcase Shorewood at in years past.

The group will play a unique mix of music from all over South America at 3565 N. Morris Blvd. starting at 6 p.m.

Bisquerra said in a previous interview if you take bossa nova, vintage Latin and cafejazz, you’d get the group's sound.

Bossa nova is a style of Brazilian music and Bisquerra sings in two beautiful languages, Portuguese and Spanish.

Trio de Janeiro is the fifth act in , which features local bands every Wednesday until Aug. 29.

Assorted food and beverages will be sold; no carry-in alcohol is allowed.
