The Shorewood/Messmer combined football team opened the regular season with a bang Friday night, routing Milwaukee Hamilton 37-14.

Shorewood jumped up early, and finished the first half with 37 — scoring five touchdowns and forcing a safety.

Hamilton would answer with two quick third-quarter touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to rally.
