Tosa West wins boys crown; Shorewood relays outstanding
Keith Brown won three individual events and Jim Bonkowski two to lead Wauwatosa West to the Woodland Conference boys track and field championship on its home track Tuesday. Full girls and boys results are here.
Brown won the 110 and 300 hurdles and the 200-meter dash, while Bonkowski captured the long jump and high jump, plus finished fourth in the triple jump.
Tosa West scored 152 points, nearly doubling runner-up New Berlin West (81.5). Kenny Spence added a championship in the 400 meters, while the Trojans' 400 relay team nipped Shorewood by one-one hundredth of a second for the title.

In addition to that second-place finish, Shorewood's boys won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter relays and were third in the 800 relay. The Greyhounds scored 66 points, good for fifth in the conference overall.
Peter Morris was second in the 3,200 for Shorewood, which did not have any individual champions.

GIRLS
Tosa West finished third in the girls meet with 97 points while Shorewood was sixth with 45.
Neither team produced an individual champion. The Trojans' Shannon Wilson placed second in the long jump and Mackenzie Hoffman was second in the 3,200. Also placing second was Elise Ditscheit in the 400.
Shorewood captured the 3,200 relay in a time of 9:53.81, which improves just slightly on its second-ranked time in Division 2, according to WisSports.net. Kristen Malone was second in the 800 and Haley Holan was second in the 1,600. The Greyhounds also were runners-up in the 800 relay.
