Little League Registration Deadline Approaching

Deadlines are approaching to register in the 2012 Little League season in Shorewood.

Registration closes on Feb. 15 for children in first through sixth grades and Jan. 31 for junior Little League, children in grades seventh or eighth or ages 13 or 14 by April 30.

Since Shorewood doesn't have enough space to accommodate junior-sized playing fields, the junior division is formed through Shorewood Little League, but plays in the Glendale Little League program.

Registration is $225, with an additional $15 fee for those who choose to register online. A uniform shirt, pants and hat, a minimum of 20 games and special event opportunities are included in the fee.

If parents miss the deadline, the league says it cannot guarantee the child will be able to play baseball this season.
