Greyhounds Girls Win 3,200 Relay Sectional Title

Shorewood sends three relays, three individuals to WIAA state meet.

Shorewood scored an easy victory in the girls 3,200 relay Thursday at the WIAA Kewaskum Track and Field Sectional, leading the Greyhounds' state-qualifying contingent in Division 2.

The foursome finished in 9:52.34, almost five seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Other girls who qualified for state are Haley Holan in the 1,600 (second place) and 3,200 (third place), and Kristin Malone (third in the 800)

On the boys' side, Shorewood was second in the 3,200 relay and fourth in the 400 relay, qualifying both teams for the June 3-4 state meet in LaCrosse. Joseph Pendleton added an individual berth by placing third in the 3,200.
