Where: LightHorse 4041 Construction Site and Nehring’s Sendik’s on Oakland – Oakland Avenue and Kenmore Place in Shorewood
Mandel Group, Inc. is hosting an event especially for kids at its LightHorse 4041 construction site in Shorewood. For all those kids who have been watching the construction equipment for the past few months, here’s your chance to jump into a large excavator/backhoe and get your picture taken! From 10 AM until 2 PM, rain or shine, we’ll have a photographer on site to take pictures of your kids wearing their own personal hard hats, and we’ll also have special drawings for other construction goodies, plus treats, inside Nehring’s Sendik’s on Oakland.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to check out the construction site “up close and personal” with private tours of the site, free hard hats sized just for kids, and a chance to speak with some of the workers. Additional prizes include children’s books geared to explaining construction, additional kid-sized construction gear and, of course, sweets and goodies inside Sendik’s.
All aspects of this special event are free to participating kids!
Parking is available in the newly opened parking structure located on Bartlett Avenue, directly behind Sendiks. Enter from either Oakland Avenue at the Sendiks driveway, or from Bartlett Avenue. Attendants will be directing people to convenient free parking.
