Wisconsin's three-month open enrollment application period begins Feb. 4 — allowing families not living in the village the opportunity to send their child to Shorewood schools, free of tuition.
This year, the district has opened three open enrollment seats: one seat in sixth grade and two seats in second grade.
The window for application closes on April 30 at 4 p.m. Officials say any applications received past that date will not be processed.
Districts will notify parents by June 7 whether their applications have been approved or denied.
