Tutti Fruity, Oh Rudy: Shorewood on YouTube

If this all seems like a bad movie — or a bunch of them — it must be YouTube.

And while amateurs make the video-sharing site what it is, Shorewood’s famous professional directors showed up anew in the last month with a classic.

Paramount Movies recently uploaded the trailer to Top Secret!, a post-Airplane! offering from Shorewood’s David and Jerry Zucker. Among the relentless gags in the movie, according to the notes with the video, is the singing of the East German national anthem to the Shorewood High School fight song tune.

Sports

WISN TV produced a feature about the Messmer-Shorewood football co-op, which is quickly erasing the memory of Shorewood’s 63-game losing streak of the 1990s. This year’s playoff-bound team has gotten its share of attention. WISN made the game against Brookfield Academy its Game of the Week and also visited for the rout over University School. Preps Plus, meanwhile, captured highlights from the game against Lake Country Lutheran, as did Sports32.

A sport with more tradition at Shorewood is cross country, and user awesomeeder posted photo montages of the boys team and girls team, set to music.
