Shorewood Schools Honor Military Veterans
Elementary and middle school students said thanks Thursday and Friday, with three assemblies honoring those who have served their country.

More than 50 veterans attended as guests of honor, with an American flag presented from a loved one that attend Shorewood schools.
United States Air Force veteran and School Board member Rob Reinhoffer and his father Army veteran Joe Reinhoffer were keynote speakers.

Students were encouraged to donate $1 leading up to the honorary assemblies. Thus far, all three schools have raised $2800, enough to send five WWII veterans on a Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
