Shorewood Snapshot: School Board to Discuss Vacant Seat

Here's a look at what's coming up this week in Shorewood. If we're missing something, please add it to the calendar.

School meeting — The Shorewood School Board meets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to discuss procedes to fill the seat vacated by Michael Mishlove among other agenda items. The meeting is held in the Shorewood High School library, 1701 E. Capitol Dr.

Fall concert — Bands at Shorewood Intermediate and Shorewood High School will team up for their first concert of the school year at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, 1701 E. Capitol Dr. 

The program, which includes the eighth grade band students and the high school bnad and wind ensemble, will feature such works as Beethoven’s Egmont Overture; Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite, by Karl King; a collection of music by Georg Frederic Handel; music from Harry Potter, and the symphonic poem that won the 1878 National Band Contest, in Naples, Italy, Universal Judgment.
