School Board Pleased With SIS Principal Selection

The School Board met Monday night to approve Mark Harris as SIS principal with two-year contract terms to be finalized by district administration and presented to the board for separate action.

Shorewood School Board members say they have received positive feedback about Mark Harris' selection to the principal position at Shorewood Intermediate School.

The Shorewood School Board met Monday night to approve Harris as SIS principal with two-year contract terms to be finalized by district administration and presented to the board for separate action.

Harris has worked for the Shorewood School District for four years as SHS Associate Principal, and previously worked as an Assistant Principal at Gilmore Middle School, a social studies teacher at United Community Center Middle School and a pre-college counselor for Marquette University’s Upward Bound program.

The SIS principal position became available in May, when SIS Principal and Special Education Director Anthony Strancke announced his resignation. Strancke had been at the school for six years.
