Recreation Department Leaders Get Pay Bump

School officials increase supervisor pay to bring it up to par with other local school districts.

Two supervisors will see a pay bump starting July 1.

While two School Board members voted against the raise because they'd like see it increase gradually, the board got the three votes it needed to approve salary increases for recreation department supervisors Nick Phalin and Kristin Serpe.

“While I fully support bringing these up to market salary, I’d like to see this increases stepped. Maybe $37,500 this year and $40,000 next year,” School Board member Colin Plese said.
