New School Board Member, Paru Shah, Sworn In

The School Board swore in its fifth member Tuesday night, after her appointment to the board Dec. 20.

Paru Shah took her new seat on the Shorewood School Board after being sworn in Tuesday night.

Shah, who was among nine candidates to apply, was appointed to the seat Dec. 20 by the board. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee professor was chosen following Michael Mishlove filing his resignation after more than six years on the School Board.

Shah will need to run for the seat again in the upcoming spring election, and was one of four candidates to file candidacy papers for three open seats.
