Meet the Student Actors, Puppet Makers Behind SHS' Avenue Q Production

A meet-and-greet event for children has been added for Feb. 18, after a Feb. 19 showing was canceled.

Shorewood High School drama students will hit the stage via puppetry Feb. 17 and 18 for a production of Avenue Q.

The modified high school edition of the Broadway musical comedy will run as planned both nights at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, 1701 E. Capitol Dr., but after a show on Feb. 19 was canceled, a behind-the-scenes event for children was added for Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.

Children will get a backstage and onstage look at the production, see the orchestra pit, meet puppet makers, and the production's music director and choreographer.
