Junior Kindergarten Registration Is Jan. 17

Children turning four years old by Sept. 1 are eligible to join Shorewood schools' K-4 program for the 2012-13 school year.

Junior kindergarten registration for the 2012-13 school year in the Shorewood School District is slated for Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Parents will need to bring an original birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. The district accepts copies of rental leases or tax bills as the only type of residency proof, in addition to an original utility bill.

Registration occurs at , 1600 E. Lake Bluff Blvd., or , 2100 E. Capitol Dr., depending on where you live in the Shorewood.

Children must be four years of age by Sept. 1 to qualify for junior kindergarten.  

If parents are unable register their children on Jan. 17, but plans to have their child attend the Shorewood schools kindergarten program, they should call the office at 963-6962 (Atwater) and 963-6972 (Lake Bluff).

If you know of someone who has an eligible junior kindergartner, call the appropriate school office for information.

Families with 5-year-old children who are not registered might also register on Tuesday or in the school office anytime before the new school year begins.
