Shorewood and the WPA

Program presented by the Shorewood Historical Society - The Works Progress Administration (WPA) put unemployed Shorewood and Milwaukee area residents to work in Shorewood in the 1930s. Everything from water and sewer to major building projects were tackled, and we still enjoy the results of that labor today. The program is based on the Society's research and collection of 1930s pictures. Everyone welcome; no admission charge.
