Dropout and Graduation Rates in Shorewood

Graduation rates in Shorewood are well above the state average, with nearly all the 12th grade students enrolled in 2011-12 receiving a diploma, according to data from the state Department of Public Instruction.

Statewide in 2011-12, 88.6 percent of enrolled high school seniors received diplomas, and 5.5 percent of students dropped out of school.Β 

That year, 96.12 percent of 132 enrolled Shorewood High School seniors received diplomas, according to DPI data, and only 1 student dropped out. At New Horizons for Learning, a charter school, 100 percent of seniors received a diploma.Β

By comparison, in Whitefish Bay, the graduation rate was 97.6 percent, and one student dropped out. At Nicolet, the graduation rate was 91.7 percent, with 13 students dropping out.
