Doing Time: School Administrators Jailed for Shorewood Games

Shorewood school administrators are behind bars until they post a $1,000 cash bond. The game, Jailhouse Rock, is apart of the Shorewood Games — a two-week fundraising campaign to benefit the MACC Fund.

Until they post a $1,000 cash bond, Superintendent Martin Lexmond, high school Prinicpal Matt Joynt and counselor Jennifer Runde will remain jailed.

The game — part of the Shorewood Games, a two-week fundraising campaign to benefit the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) — is Jailhouse Rock. School adminstrators are to raise the funds, which in turn will benefit the MACC Fund.

Every four years since the 1980s, the community has united for the games, and over the decades, raised $135,000 for the MACC Fund. Hopes are to bring the total to more than $150,000 this year.
