Child and Adolescent Psychologist Joins Rogers' West Allis Staff

Angela Sanders, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist, joined the staff at Rogers Memorial Hospital where she will work primarily with children and adolescents in the inpatient program. In addition to providing professional psychology services, Dr. Sanders will develop and implement trauma informed care, which is therapy focused on helping patients who have experienced painful and traumatic events. She will also train and supervise clinical staff and students.

“I am delighted to welcome Dr. Sanders to our West Allis team,” Vice President of Operations T. Orvin Fillman, DrPH, MHA, said. He noted Dr. Sanders’ expertise in clinical program development and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which is the integration of emotion identification and management with standard therapy. “I have every confidence in her abilities; Dr. Sanders is highly recommended for her experience within multiple treatment settings and for her development of specialized therapeutic programs.”

A graduate of the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Sanders holds a doctorate in clinical psychology, with a specialization in children, adolescents and family. With more than 20 years’ experience, she has held leadership positions and developed program initiatives for a variety of organizations. Most recently, Dr. Sanders served as clinical director of behavioral health services for Lakeview Care Partners in Waterford. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and Wisconsin Psychological Association.

In addition to using evidence-based practices, Dr. Sanders offers a person-centered, strength-based approach to patient care. “I am thrilled to join the Rogers team,” she said. “Rogers is a leader in providing behavioral health services and is strategic and passionate about providing quality care. I also really enjoy contributing to program development and expansion initiatives.”
