Everything You Need to Know About Election Day

Patch breaks downs the ballot and offers the information you should know before you vote.

While there will just be one local contest race on the ballot in Tuesday's election, Shorewood voters still will have the opportunity to shape more than just their local government.

Who's on the ballot?

Four candidates will run for two seats on the Shorewood Village Board including newcomers , ,   and incumbent .

The winners will serve three-year terms with a $1,000 annual salary.

The Shorewood School Board won’t see any changes, as members Michael Mishlove and Ruth Treisman will run unopposed for two seats on the Shorewood School Board.

 School Board members also receive a $1,000 annual salary and serve three-year terms.

Philanthropist Chris Abele will run against Republican lawmaker Jeff Stone for Milwaukee County Executive.

The race for the Supreme Court will also be on the ballot, with Justice David Prosser battling challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg for a 10-year term on the bench.

And Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Pedro Colon is being challenged by Christoper R. Lipscomb Sr. for the Branch 18 seat.

Where to vote?

There will be three polling place in the village.

Residents living in in Wards 1 through 4 will vote at the , 3920 N. Murray Ave.;  Wards 5 through 8 at the 1701 E. Capitol Dr.; and Ward 9 to 12 at , 3830 N. Morris Blvd.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you haven't registered to vote yet, you can do so at the polls on Tuesday as long as you have proof of residence, which can include a driver's license or state identification card, a utility bill, property tax bills, leases and other documents.
