What's Closed In The Shorewood Area On MLK Day

We've compiled a list of closings in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.

All federal, and state offices as well as banks will be closed on Monday in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

The holiday marks the birthday of the famed civil rights leader. King’s actual birthday is on Jan. 15, but the third Monday of January was designated as the official holiday in 1983.

The Village of Shorewood, the Shorewood Library, and Milwauke County offices (with the exception of courts) will be open on Monday. Garbage and recycling is not affected by the holiday.
