What's Up This Week in Shorewood? School Board To Consider Managerial And Administrative Salaries

A look ahead at the week's local events and news.

Here's a look at what's coming up this week in Shorewood. If we're missing something, you can add it to the calendar.

School Board: The Shorewood School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library of , 2100 E. Capitol Dr. The board is expected to discuss and vote on managerial and administrative salaries, the hiring of a technology support position and an Shorewood High School athletic donation.

Parks Commission: The village's Parks Commission is schedule to meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in . The commission will discuss the entrance sign, boardwalk donor recognition and water project signage.

Pedestrian and Bike Safety Committee: The Pedestrian and Bike Safety Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in . The committee is expected to discuss a bike route plan, a walkable community designation application and a pedestrian bill of rights. 

Library Board: The Library Board is will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the . The board will discuss a Friends of the Shorewood Library Liaison Report.

Design Review Board: The Design Review Board will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday in . The board will concern the second floor upper rear expansion at residential property at 4300 N. Murray Ave. and the installation of a front yard sunroom at residential property 1820-22 E. Menlo Blvd.

Tree, refuse and recycling collection: The village will begin collecting Christmas trees left curbside. According to the village website, collection will occur as weather and manpower allow. Be sure to remove light strings and any metal objects from your tree. 

Movie night: The , 4048 N Bartlett Ave., will show the movie "Toy Story" at 7 p.m. Friday. A popcorn machine will run and a blankets-and-pajamas atmosphere is encouraged. The event is free.
