Village to Hold Budget Hearing Monday

Officials slated to vote on proposed budget which would mean an increase of $37 on the property tax bill for owner of a $300,000 home.

Village officials will hold a public hearing on the 2013 budget 7:30 Monday night during their board meeting.

The Village Board will then consider adopting a budget for next year, among other items on the agenda.

Under the proposed budget, the owner of a $300,000 property would see the village's portion of their tax bill rise by $37. The tax levy is estimated to increase by $185,056 or 1.8 percent from last year.
