Village Center Parking Lot Under Construction

Construction crews began reconstructing the parking lot next to Shorewood Public Library and Shorewood Village Hall on Monday.

Parking is still available through the rest of the week, but parts of the lot will be closed to make room for underground work. The lot will be completely closed to the public next week so crews can re-do the surface of the lot. Weather permitting, the lot will reopen on July 22.

The parking lot project includes asphalt resurfacing, LED lighting upgrades and below-grade stormwater storage. The project is partially funded by a green infrastructure grant from the Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District.
