With just weeks before the November presidential election, Barack Obama backers came out in force Saturday afternoon, as the president spoke at Milwaukee's Summerfest grounds.
President Barack Obama’s campaign trail led him to Milwaukee Saturday evening, where he rallied thousands of supporters.
People filled the BMO Harris Pavilion at the Summerfest grounds and cheered on Obama as he spoke about saving the middle class if elected to a second term.

Well, then, it's a good thing that Hoffa doesn't watch Fox News, isn't it?
What's your excuse for being low information and non-thinking - MSDNC, Current TV, RT TV, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, HLN, thinkprogress.com, the Daily Kos, moveon.org, etc???
Everybody goes there every summer and are familiar with the venues there. Marcus holds the big crowds, up to 25,000. I had heard 20,000 tickets were available, and expected we would ultimately end up in there like four years ago. To my eye there were no more then 7,000 or so actually there. There were people behind but not off to the sides. We edged up about halfway along the right and had a decent view.
In person his constantly looking at the teleprompters is kind of annoying. We cane up from Chicago because he is not bothering with us since Chicago will deliver the votes he needs to comfortably win down here.
We went to Madison eight years ago to hear Gore when Springsteen warmed up the crowd with a couple numbers. That was my all-time favorite.
@richard...Do you really follow the REAL news at all?? Practically every issue in your 19 point support list is unraveling right now. Just because these policies were implemented by Obama while Dems had control over house and Senate, and you favor them, doesn't mean they are successful. I would like to see a legitimate point argued by an Obama supporter on the FACTS! Impossible to do. The economy is NOT turning around...a REAL under/unemployment rate closer to 19%...$6 trillion added to deficit in 3.5 years...Obama's foreign "appeasement policy" has blown up...He has not shown Israel we are the strong allies they have always counted on...The estate tax time bomb is almost here...New ObamaCare taxes are about to hit...AND the Health Care Law is widely unpopular...health care premiums are going way UP...Gas prices are exploding...No balanced budget in over 3 years...I could go on...My God! Re-elect Obama and we will see a depression!!
Almost a TRILLION dollar giveaway...that was supposed to "stimulate" the economy, yet 46 straight months of 8+% unemployment, GDP last month a paltry 2%, median family income DOWN by $4600 a year from 2009, 5 TRILLION DOAALRS added to our national debt, the middle east is flames, USSR's Putin saber rattling again, China building a pacific ocean nuclear fleet (at sea trials now) and Obama is CUTTING our military budget by 600 billion dollars? Our nation more divided than it has been in 50 years...AND PEOPLE STILL WANT TO GIVE THIS INCOMPETENT MAN FOUR MORE YEARS IN THE WHITE HOUSE?
Well said Richard!! AND to make matters worse, Obama, the President of the US, sends Hillary to meet with the "Presidents of Egypt, Libya and Afghanistan." while he cozies up on the couch at The View. Lord knows Whoopie and Joey Behar are much more important to the future of this country! If that doesn't synthesize his motives nothing will. Does anyone really need to know any more to vote him out??
Yes Idiot Crocodile, let's throw out the checks and balances of the three separate branches of government and just let Barack Hussein ruin the country. Idiot, moron.
Hmmm...
A lot of out-of-staters (confirmed by Dan F), underagers (confirmed by N. Peske), and the delusion (confirmed by richard schwalb believing that there were 14k-15k present when there were clearly open bleacher seats in a venue with a stated capacity of 5k) according to those commenting here that claim to have been there.

No, President Obama is not likely to win this election. Better get used to saying President Romney!!!
And with control of both the House and and Senate, it will be just like the pre-recall and post-November-general election days here in Wisconsin under Governor Walker's magnificent leadership!
Can't wait!!!
ROMNEY/RYAN 2012!!!
@Taoist -
If you're a shining example of a left-wing nutjob, it's not saying very much about the left-wing, considering that you apparently don't even realize that election day is November 6th! Or are you counting on Democrats following the old credo of voting early and often to steal the election before it even takes place?
You're either ignorant of the truth or a cheater - must suck to be you!
@morninmist -
We've been through this a thousand times already - there is an inherent conflict of interest with public sector unionization in that the public sector union employees are also taxpayers, thus they are in effect bargaining against their own self interests. Their compensation also derives from public funds which are collected from citizens by force. Not to mention that the public sector employees get to vote for the public officials that their unions are negotiating against, thus they effectively end up with representation on both sides of the bargaining table. This is why men such as FDR, the former President of the AFL-CIO, and my namesake didn't believe in public sector unionization.
Walker isn't the hypocrite - public sector unionization is!
In the private sector, typically the union and the owners/management tend to remain separate, with no conflict of interest. If a unionized employee chooses to also take an ownership interest in the company, it is done so voluntarily. And the revenues that corporations generate derive from money that is spent voluntarily, not by force (except in the case of health insurance companies thanks to Obamacare). And unless the union members are voluntarily buying an ownership in the company, and thereby getting to vote for members of the board of directors that their union is negotiating against, they typically don't get to vote for management.
Hoffa hopes that you are able to see the differences here!
From Governor Scott Walker's Facebook Page:
"Being pro-taxpayer doesn't make me anti-union. Besides, private sector unions are often our partners in economic development."

Sept. 24: Deep Red Polling Mystery
By NATE SILVER
The FiveThirtyEight forecast was essentially unchanged on Monday, with Barack Obama holding a 77.7 percent chance of winning the Electoral College.
Mr. Obama received a number of strong-looking state polls on Monday, including some from firms that had him with mixed numbers before. Probably the most noteworthy of these was a Wisconsin poll from the firm We Ask America, which put Mr. Obama ahead of Mitt Romney by 11.5 percentage points there.......

This election is really a no brainer if you look at voting records.
Did they vote for the Job Bills? Did they vote for Jobs for returning Veterans? Did they vote to end Medicare and Social Security? Did their refusal to vote cause our credit rating to go down? Did they vote to close Health Clinics for women? Did they vote to get rid of Unions? Did they vote to even end minimum wage? Did they vote to give the rich even another tax cut? Did they vote to DE- regulate banking rules? Are they attempting to prevent some American citizens for voting at all? And did they want the car companies to go down the tube?
I hope Paul Ryan loses his Congressional Seat, as well. He will be pushing privatilizing Social Security and getting rid of Medicare forever.
While our Libyan Embassy was under attack the President ignored repeated requests for help. There was real time info from circling drones, planes and gunships were ready to go in. 7 hours later there were 4 dead Americans. Bowing to the Middle East and leading from behind is not a foreign policy. This is a national embarrassment. Time for a new Commander-in Chief. When the 3 A.M. call was made Obama didn't answer- Hillary was right. I can't imagine how those American heroes felt when their pleas were ignored.
So? What was used and what harm does it cause? Although ironic this may provide more good than…Read More harm. What is written on the application sign?
The bluff and other areas need to be planted with things that will snuff out the weeds. They are…Read More harmful to animals and possibly birds, of which there are many at atwater. Obviously not many animals but there are squirrels and rabbits and other native mammals. Not to mention the kids at the play area. I am surprised the village has done this but I know restoration is about to begin - again - on the bluff and perhaps they are trying to rid the bluff of all the weeds. It is a shame that the 15+ kids they hire every year can't be up there weeding instead. I don't know what else they could be doing as the village has reduced the amount of annual flower beds that need to be maintained.
