Take a Tour of Area's Oldest House

Shorewood is offering free tours of the Kilbourntown House in Estabrook Park Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and asking residents to consider a donation to replace the building's roof.

Did you know the oldest house in Milwaukee is right here in Shorewood?

The Kilbourntown House in Estabrook Park needs a new roof. The village is offering free showings on Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Join representatives from the Shorewood Historical Society, Milwaukee County Historical Society, Milwaukee County Parks, Friends of Estabrook Park and the Colonial Dames during the viewing. The village asks residents to consider donating to this roofing cause and become a Kilbourntown "roofer." Shorewood plans a "shingle dipping party" when its raises the necessary funds.
