School and government meetings — School officials will vote on a preliminary 2012-2013 budget and take up other items at a meeting set for Tuesday night at 7 in the Library, 1701 E. Capitol Dr.

The village's Police Commission will meet 6 p.m. on Wednesday to interview candidates and possibly approve a new lieutenant within the . The position became available after .

Shorewood's Design Review Board will meet Thursday at 5 p.m.

Both village meetings will take place at , 3930 N. Murray Ave.

— Jazz/funk duo Mrs. Fun, which has played with Indigo Girls and K.D Lang, will play , 3565 N. Morris Blvd., Wednesday at 6 p.m. Lake Bluff Elementary fifth and sixth graders will open the show.

For 10 consecutive Wednesday evenings, excluding the fourth of July, from jazz to blues, Irish to country, and every musical style in-between.

— The acclaimed dance troupe will showcase dance moves and drumming at the , 3920 N. Murray Ave., Tuesday afternoon at 2:30.

The program is part of the library's terrific Tuesday summer series.

Preps Sports — The Shorewood High School baseball team will hit the diamond three times this week including a Monday match against Cudahy at Henry Aaron Field, an away game on Tuesday also against Cudahy and a Thursday match up at Wauwatosa West.

All three games start at 5 p.m. The Greyhounds are 3-12 (2-9) on the season.
