Shorewood Gearing up for July 12 Recall Election

The state Goverment Accountability Board has instructed the Village Clerk's office to start preparing for the election.

The village is gearing up for a July 12 recall election.

Shorewood's Village Clerk office is reporting that the state's Government Accountability Board has instructed them to proceed with scheduling and preparing for the July 12 Election until further notice.Β 

The filing deadline for candidates is June 14 and the determination will be made if a primary election is necessary.

The village says it hopes to have absentee ballots available for residents by June 21.
