Report: Judge Rules Recall Elections Can Move Forward

Dane County judge dismiss suits filed by Republicans and Democrats over elections.

JSOnline is reporting that a Dane County judge has ruled that nine recall elections of state senators should proceed in July and August.

Judge Richard Niess was considering lawsuits by six Republican and three Democratic senators challenging the decision of the Government Accountability Board certifying recall elections against them. Niess dismissed the suits Friday, JSOnline said.

The decision came just four days before the first primary races are scheduled to be held, including a , a seat now held by Republican Alberta Darling.
