Patch Hosts Shorewood Village Board Candidates Forum on March 26

Three candidates running in the April 2 election have agreed to participate in a Patch candidates forum on March 26, and you can help us shape the debate.

Three candidates will be vying for two spots on the Shorewood Village Board in the April 2 election.

To ensure that residents are fully informed about the candidates and their positions on important local issues, Shorewood Patch is sponsoring a candidates forum with all the trustee candidates on March 26 from from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Shorewood Village Center.

Before the forum, we want to hear from you. We want our readers involved in our coverage of the campaigns. And we're starting by asking you to help us formulate questions for the candidates.

Shorewood Patch will soon contact the candidates vying for the trustee spots to get biographical information as well as their views on the issues facing the village. But we don't want to be the only ones posing the questions; we want to hear what's on your mind as well.

If you have a question you would like to ask one or all of the candidates, post it in the comments section below or on the Shorewood Patch Facebook page.  We'll do our best to include your question as part of our coverage of this key race.

The three candidates running for village trustee are incumbent Trustee Patrick Linnane and challengers Tammy Bockhorst and Paul Zovic.

During the forum, candidates will be allowed to make opening and closing statements, respond to questions from Patch editors and field questions posed by members of the audience. Audience members will be given index cards to write their questions on, and the moderator will determine which questions will be asked of the candidates.

Please invite your friends and see your local democracy in action. Facebook users can RSVP on the Facebook event page.
