Pasch Tapped to Head Milwaukee Caucus
North Shore lawmaker earns leadership post.
State Rep. Sandy Pasch, D-Whitefish Bay, has been named chair of the Milwaukee legislative caucus in Madison.
"I am honored to have earned the support of my fellow Milwaukee-area legislators for this important position within our caucus," she said in a statement.
"Milwaukee will continue to play a key role in working to create a more vibrant economy while maintaining our investment in core services, both throughout our region and across the state. I am excited to help facilitate this process as the Milwaukee legislative caucus chair," she added.

The Democrat represents the 22nd Assembly District, which includes Shorewood, Fox Point and Whitefish Bay, Glendale, a portion of Milwaukee and River Hills.
The Milwaukee native was re-elected to a second term in November.
Pasch has been a practicing nurse since 1976. She has master's degrees in nursing and bioethics, and served for 15 years as assistant professor of nursing at Columbia College of Nursing.

"We have a great opportunity to reorganize our efforts and renew our energy, both for the future of Milwaukee and the state. Tough decisions, bold leadership, and a coordinated effort are required of our caucus, which brings with it valued experience and a diverse set of skills," she said. "As caucus chair, I look forward to moving Milwaukee and our state forward through building consensus on how to strengthen our economy while preserving vital programs."
