Pasch Cleans Up in Shorewood with Nearly 96 Percent; Thompson Carries Local Vote
With voters only allowed to vote for candidates in one party in Tuesday's partisan primary, at least 65 percent of Shorewood voters chose to vote on the Democratic side.
State Rep. Sandy Pasch held a seat in the Assembly, in large part to how the residents of Shorewood voted in Tuesday’s partisan primary.
She won Shorewood with nearly 96 percent of the vote over Democratic challengers Millie Coby of Shorewood, and Ieshuh Griffin and Harriet Callier of Milwaukee.
According to unofficial results from Village Clerk Sherry Grant, Pasch garnered 2,060 votes, to Coby’s 79 votes, or roughly 3 percent.

Griffin received 4 votes and Callier 5.
Voter turnout on Tuesday was 32 percent.

Over in the U.S. Senate Republican primary, former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson led the way with 43 percent or 437 votes to businessman Eric Hovde’s nearly 29 percent or 292 votes in Shorewood. State Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald garnered 158 votes or 15 percent and former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann received 120 votes or almost 12 percent.
Tuesday’s primary limited voters to casting their ballots for candidates in one party. At least 65 percent of those casting ballots decided to vote on the Democratic side.
All results are deemed unofficial until election officials canvass later this week.
