Limited Village Hall Parking during 'Green' Renovations Next Month

Work is expected to start July 8 on the project including the addition of below-grade stormwater storage, LED lighting upgrades and asphalt resurfacing.

Parking at Shorewood's Village Hall and Public Library will be limited next month as the lot serving the public buildings undergoes a facelift.

Last year, the village received a green infrastructure grant from the Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District to add "green" features to the parking lot.

Work is expected to start July 8 on the project including the addition of below-grade stormwater storage, LED lighting upgrades and asphalt resurfacing.

During that week the lot will be accessible, but with limited parking due to the underground work.

Then beginning July 16, the lot will be closed to the public so that surface work may be completed.

Weather permitting, the lot will reopen on July 22. Contact the Shorewood Department of Pubic Works for more information at 414.847.2650.
