First Public Meeting on Shorewood Senior Housing Proposal Slated for Tuesday

Officials will show a presentation on Harbor Retirement Associates' proposal for assisted living and memory care apartments in Shorewood during a Plan Commission meeting starting at 6 p.m.

Village officials will hold the first public meeting discussing a Florida-based developer’s proposal for senior apartments in Shorewood on Tuesday.

Officials will show a presentation on Harbor Retirement Associates’ proposal for assisted living and memory care apartments at the former Riverbrook Restaurant site, 1111 E. Capitol Dr., during a Plan Commission meeting starting at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall Committee Room.

Last year, Chicago-area developer Pathway Senior Living LLC proposed 48 one-bedroom and nine studio apartments in a four-story structure on the 3.2-acre site, on the south side of the 1100 block of East Capitol Drive, between the Milwaukee River and the Oak Leaf Trail.
